JBL launched new truly wireless earbuds in India on Tuesday. The product in question is called JBL Tune Flex and these are no ordinary earbuds.
The company claims they are the world’s first ‘transformable’ TWS, meaning you can convert them into open or noise-isolating earphones by switching ear tips.
JBL Tune Flex also comes with six modes of active noise cancellation (ANC) tuning, hands-free voice control, and an IPX4 rating. Let’s have a look at all the details.
JBL Tune Flex Full specifications
New JBL Tune Flex earbuds come equipped with 12mm drivers and feature JBL Pure Bass Sound. As mentioned, the earphones have a transformable design, officially called Sound Fit. By default, they have an open design.
However, if you wish to block unwanted noise, you can switch to the ear sealing tips, and the earphones will become a noise-isolating pair. Basically, they’re two pairs of buds in one.
The JBL earbuds also come with ANC and also feature ‘Smart Ambient feature’ that lets the sound in, allowing you to engage with the environment. The earbuds come with four microphones to provide a better calling experience.
Talking about the battery, the JBL Tune Flex earbuds are claimed to last up to 8 hours with ANC off. With ANC on, the earbuds will only last up to 6 hours of playtime.
Moreover, the case provides an additional 24 hours of battery. As per the company, the earbuds can offer up to 2 hours of playtime in just 10-minutes of charge.
Further, the earbuds have a hands-free voice control feature which can be controlled via Google Assistant. The earbuds are IPX4 rated for water and sweat resistance.
